Compare Mode
The Compare Mode gives the opportunity to compare substances on the basis of similar potential risk in the working environment. This features uses the following:
- the classification of substances in 'Hazard Classes'. It uses classification schemes for substances based on groups with similar harmonised H-statements according to CLP. In DOHSBase Compare we use this classification with the abbreviation TOX.
- the maximum (or saturation) concentration of the selected substances in air.
- the Occupational Exposure Limit Value (OELV) of the substance.
- the 'ability to become airborne'. For this we developed a new index called 'Threshold exceedance IndeX' (TIX).
The final result is shown in also a new index: the Risk Assessment Score (RAS). In this way, substances (if all required data are known) are mutually compared.
The Compare Mode has the similar look and feel as the Search & Find Mode. There are only 2 tabs:
