Hazard Pictograms and Signal Words (CLP)


Hazard pictograms form part of the CLP Regulation. For easy information has nearly each CLP hazard class has a defined symbol (pictogram).

In DOHSBase Compare only the harmonised Hazard Pictograms and Signal words are presented. If these are not set, you can search the database at ECHA for the notified classification. More information on that matter: click here.

Next to the hazard classes 2 "signal words" are also possible "'signal word' means a word that indicates the relative level of severity of hazards to alert the reader to a potential hazard; the following two levels are distinguished:

(a) 'Danger' means a signal word indicating the more severe hazard categories;

(b) 'Warning' means a signal word indicating the less severe hazard categories
