Respirable dust


Respirable dust, respirable fraction or alveolar fraction are particles with an maximum aerodynamic diameter of 15 οΏ½m (micrometer). De median is at 4,5 οΏ½m (source: NEN-EN 481 (1994)). Respirable dust penetrates into the finest structures of the lungs (the alveoli).
