Total dust are particle with unknown diameter characteristics. Probably a maximum aerodynamic diameter of 50 �m (micrometer) and a median of 20 �m. The air speed at the air inlet is set at 1,25 m/sec. Nowadays this type of dust fraction is only in use when measuring lead (Pb), in two OEL's established by the WEEL-committee of the AIHA, and one from Sweden (Swedish Work Environment Authority/Arbetsmilj�verket).
