Modes & Tabs Section
DOHSBase Compare has two modes of operation:
- Search & Find Occupational Exposure Limits and associated Measurement Methods: the Search & Find Mode.
- Compare substances on basis of potential risk: the Compare Mode.
The program starts default in het Search & Find mode. To swith to the Compare mode use the Change Mode Button in the Button Bar in the top right corner of the Main Window.
Within each mode there are tabs to guide you through the program.
Searching for Limit Values and Measurement Methods (Search & Find Mode) there are the following Tabs:
In the tab you can perform the search for the substance
This tab gives the name, synonyms, molecular formula, EC and CAS-numbers of the selected substance
This tab gives physical and chemical properties of the selected substance. Also the formal hazard identifiers (R/S & H/P-phrases/statements, pictograms etc.) are presented
The available limit values of the selected substance are represented
The available measurement methods (or sampling methods) of the selected substance are represented
In the Compare Mode there are only two tabs:
In this tab you can perform the selection of the substances you want to compare. It is nearly identical to the Tab Search in the Search & Find Mode.
In this tab the results of Compare action are represented
