TLV = Threshold Limit Value (is a level to which is believed a worker can be exposed day after day for a working lifetime, without adverse health effects. Strictly speaking, TLV is a reserved term of the ACGIH. In other countries this definition is used for Occupational Exposure Limits in other countries, like "Wettelijke grenswaarden" in the Netherlands, WEL's in the UK, VLEP's in France, LEP's in Spain, MAK's in Germany and BLV's/IOELV's in Europe.
